How to write a cover letter

In your cover letter you can highlight your success and experience. With this letter you respond to a specific job offer / position and present yourself to your potential employer. The cover letter should not be too extensive (max 1 page A4, preferably from 2 to 3 paragraphs), all crucial information about you should be mentioned in your CV. The letter has a potential to engage an employer to invite you to the interview.

The cover letter is the same as the accompanying letter.

! EVERY JOB OFFER NEEDS A DIFFERENT COVER LETTER, do not use UNIVERSAL VERSION for all job offers

MOTIVE LETTER SHOULD INCLUDE:

  • the address of whom is directed to, try to reach him/her by name
  • position you are interested in and where you found the offer
  • why you are applying for this position
  • skills, experience, education - why the employer should choose you
  • offer for a personal meetings

PRACTICAL TIPS:

  • be specific, avoid unnecessary phrases and state at the beginning what position you are interested in
  • specify why you are the most suitable candidate - if you know the company/he branch, if you have specific experience, contacts, certificates, etc.
  • mention what you can offer to the company, what benefits you will bring them
  • be motivated and positive
